Saturday there were six stakes races at the Fair Grounds as preps for the big races on Louisiana Derby Day in March. The feature was the Risen Star Stakes (G2) for the 3-year-old colts won by Discreetly Mine (right) going wire-to-wire. Stonehouse was an upset winner in the Mineshaft Handicap (G3) for the older horses while Chamberlain Bridge was a repeat winner in the Colonel Power Stakes. Get the results, charts, and photos here.
